The next frontier in home protection: prevention
Home protection, including fire safety, has focused on responding after something goes wrong. Smoke detectors, essential for every home, only alert after a fire has started. At Ting Labs, prevention is our purpose: identifying electrical fire hazards before a fire ever starts. And our technology goes beyond fire: the same sensor also identifies power outages and the risk of frozen and burst pipes, expanding what home protection can do. It’s an approach with proven impact. With sensors in more than 1.4 million homes across North America, our technology and expert Fire Safety Team have prevented more than 30,000 potentially devastating fire hazards.
Today, Ting Labs and Verisure announced a strategic partnership to bring Ting’s electrical fire prevention technology to Europe.
In Verisure, we’ve found a partner that shares our vision around proactive home protection and peace of mind for families. Ting sensors are already being installed in more than 50,000 homes every month across North America, and Verisure’s infrastructure and scale opens our solution up to millions of European households. The new service will launch commercially in 2027.
A partnership designed to scale
Ting Labs will provide the underlying technology and electrical fire prevention expertise, while Verisure will integrate and localize the experience across Europe. Verisure will manufacture the Europe-ready sensor and bring it to market across Europe, managing sales, installation, service, and support for its customers. It’s a co-development model that could extend to new markets over time, such as South America and Mexico.
At its core is the intelligence Ting is known for: each sensor analyzes 30 million electrical signals every second to detect the earliest warning signs of electrical fire hazards, fully integrated into Verisure’s home alarm ecosystem and backed by 24/7 professional monitoring.

Across the EU, domestic fires cause €6.25 billion in property damage every year, and electrical faults account for approximately 30% of them. That’s the challenge this partnership was built to get ahead of.
